We are in the FINAL DAYS of the BAND & ATHLETIC COOPERATIVE FUNDRAISER!! YOU GUYS HAVE TRULY BEEN AMAZING and WE ARE SOOOOO CLOSE TO THE GOAL OF RAISING $15,000!!! However, there is still a little ways to go to cross the finish line!! Those wishing to support the Tenaha ISD Bands and Athletics programs at the link below can pick a specific student you want to donate to or just "support the group." There are lots of activities, trips, and supplies that have to be funded this year in both band and athletics. Any amount of help is sincerely appreciated by both the students and staff. As you know, our Roarin' Band leaves Monday morning for San Antonio at their shot for another State Championship and our Varsity Boys Cross Country team will leave from San Antonio Tuesday, to head to Round Rock to rest up for a chance at the individual and team State Championship next weekend as well! It has been a whirlwind of a month and it doesn't show signs of slowing down any time soon...but, we MUST take a moment to say THANK YOU to two very special individuals who, without their leadership and kindness, our district would not function each and every day. Our students and staff are so truly blessed by their guidance, kindness, creativity, discipline, grace, dedication, and the list truly goes on and on....TISD is most definitely BLESSED with THE BEST when it comes to PRINCIPALS!! Please join me in showing our PRINCIPALS SOME LOVE on this PRINCIPALS APPRECIATION MONTH!! Thank you, PK-6 Principal Mrs. Elizabeth Ward and 7-12 Principal, Mr. Marlon Byrdsong, for all that you do. It is most of the time a "thankless" job, but one that we are "thankful" that you are called to do and "thankful" the calling led you to Tenaha!!

Fun at Pecan Park with 1st grade!

Mrs. Woodfin's 1st graders had a blast learning about the Earth, Moon, and Sun today at the planetarium in Nacogdoches. We were fortunate enough to get some fun in at the park before the rain set in!

ATTENTION TIGERNATION! We have just been informed that due to the weather moving in, the Junior High Football Game vs Mt. Enterprise for this evening has been cancelled.

Mrs. Woodfin's 1st grade class is about to enjoy the SFA Planetarium.

Shoutouts ALL AROUND to these TIGERS for being AWESOME!! We would like to recognize Keaton Whittington, Zakary Hartley, Jaqueline Mendoza, Jayden Ratcliff, and Bryan Chavez for their positive actions this past week. We are so proud of you and thank you for being great examples for all of our students! Keep us the great work!

This Saturday morning, October 28th at 10am, our Lady Tiger Basketball team will scrimmage the Center Lady Riders in the SEC. Admission will be a case of water...this water will be used throughout the season for the Lady Tigers. We greatly appreciate your support and hope you will come out and watch this outstanding group of athletes!!

This morning, our Boys XC team will run in the Regional Meet in Huntsville at 10:45. This meet will determine their chance at the state title...please say a quick prayer for these young men and their coach as they have been working so hard for this moment for many seasons, not just this one. Win or lose, we are so very proud of all they have accomplished and we cannot wait for them to cross the finish line today!! FAST FEET TIGERS!!

Parade Prep part III

The "calm" before the STORM!! Our staff is hard at work getting the Elementary Floats ready for tomorrow's big parade!! Remember, the parade rolls at 3:30!

TES MAROONED OUT!!! See everyone at the parade tomorrow. Please remember, any students riding a float in grades Pk3-5th grade must be dropped off at the elementary by 3:00pm. Buses will take them to the parade route at 3:15pm. No cars will be allowed on the parade route. All kiddos need to be picked up in the bus run by the elementary as soon as their float returns. On Fridays, we wear MAROON!! Go TIGERS!!!

REMINDER!! Tenaha ISD will Early Release TODAY at 11:30am; Elementary Parent Pick-Up will begin at 11:15am!! Also, Tenaha ISD will observe a School Holiday on Monday, October 23rd!
