Tenaha ISD 2026–2027 School Calendar Approved

The Tenaha Independent School District Board of Trustees has officially approved the 2026–2027 school calendar. Please note the following important dates:

🐯 First Day of School: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
🎉 Last Day of School: Thursday, May 20, 2027
🎓 Graduation: Friday, May 21, 2027

🗓️ Schedule Information:
• The school year will begin with a traditional Monday–Friday schedule.
• Later in the year, the district will transition to a 4-day instructional week.
• Students do not attend school on Teacher In-Service days.

We encourage all families to review the full calendar to note holidays, spring break, and teacher workdays as you plan for the upcoming school year.

✨Tenaha ISD Reminder for Parents & Guardians

We kindly ask that all students be picked up promptly at the end of the school day.

Our teachers and staff remain on campus beyond their contracted hours to ensure every child is safe and properly supervised. While we are always committed to student safety, consistent late pickups place an additional burden on the staff members who generously stay to help.

Additionally, any transportation changes must be called in no later than 3:00 PM to ensure the message is delivered to your child’s teacher and to avoid multiple disruptions to the classroom during instructional time.

Please make timely pickup arrangements each day. If an emergency arises, contact your child’s campus office as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation, courtesy, and continued support of our students and staff.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND::
• 6th graders going into 7th grade who will need Tdap and MCV4
• 11th graders going to 12th grade who will take a dual credit on the college campus (Welders, CNA, and PCT)
• Any senior who will be enrolling in college after high school graduation for the upcoming fall semester will need to have an updated record showing 2 MCV 4 vaccines.
