🏀 HOLIDAY HOOPS 2025 🏀
As the holiday season approaches, anticipation is mounting for the return of the Holiday Hoops basketball tournament, a festive showcase of young talent and competitive spirit. This annual event brings together top high school teams from across the state for thrilling matchups on the court, blending holiday cheer with high-stakes hoops.
Last year's tournament was a resounding success, featuring elite competition and elite teams that went on to the playoffs with several teams finishing their season at the state tournament. There were 3 teams from last year's boys division that won a state championship, Martins Mill, Kountze, and Tatum, with Lipan finishing as a state runner up. In the girls division there were also 3 state champions, Broaddus, Martins Mill, and Kountze, with Saltillo finishing as a state runner up.

TISD is mailing attendance letters per state requirements. This set was automatically pulled based on 5+ absences.
State law (The Ninety Percent Rule - minimum attendance for course credit) requires that students must attend each class at least 90% of the time (no more than 9 absences per class) per semester. This includes both excused and unexcused absences.
If you receive a letter and have any questions, please contact the PEIMS registrar for more information when we return from Thanksgiving Break.
