The remainder of our Sports Photos and Spring Portraits will be taken April 11th by Traditions Portraits. All sports groups will have a group photo taken for the yearbook and each athlete will take individual photos. Only those students (K-12) who wish to purchase a Spring Portrait will take them on this day. You do not have to pre-purchase the photo, but it is optional to take them if you know you do not wish to purchase. Proofs will be available online after the photos are taken and an order form will also be sent home the week prior to pictures.

All students will observe a 2nd/7th period "flip" Monday and Tuesday of this week. This is to accommodate students and staff participating in the District Track Meet and upcoming band competitions. Thank you!!

THS Juniors and Seniors!! Prom 2023 is just around the corner!! Please read the following information very carefully as you are making preparations: Prom tickets are currently available in the office with Ms. Regina. Juniors and Seniors that have paid their dues do not need to purchase a ticket but they do need to have a ticket. Guest tickets are $20. Tickets must be purchased/picked up by 11:00 on Friday, March 31. All Prom Attendees MUST adhere to the following rules and guidelines in order to participate: 1. Age limit- 9th grade -age 19 ( age will be verified by a copy of ID ) 2. Dues must be paid in full and so does the guest you invite, if they attend this school. 3. A ticket must be bought for a student attending from another school or a Tenaha 9th/10th grader for $20 in the front office before March 31 . 4. Appropriate dress code should be within school guidelines. 5. All males are required to wear shirts and keep them on during the Prom festivities. Females are required to send a picture of their dress to Mrs. Barr before April 1 in order to get it approved. 6. Once you enter the school for the prom festivities you may not go back out of the building unless you are escorted by a staff member. Please remember that this event is a privilege and one that your Prom Committee and TISD Staff enjoy hosting for our students. Please be respectful and plan to attend and have a great time!! This past week, our Varsity Track teams competed at the Cushing Track Meet. Each team improved upon their last performance and brought home quite a bit of hardware!! Our boys team finished 3rd Place overall and the Girls Team was 2nd Place Team overall. Great job Tigers!!

Tigers!! The Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! This year, the Book Fair will be held the week of April 11-14th in person in Mrs. Stacie's room in the Elementary School. Shopping will be available from 8:30am-2:30pm each day. However, you may also purchase and shop online April 10-23rd. Attention TIGERNATION!! Next Friday, March 31st, we will EARLY RELEASE at 11:30am to prepare for PROM 2023! Elementary Parent Pick-up will begin at 11:15am. We will be providing sack lunches prior to leaving for all students. Students will not have to make up this day as we have the the state required minutes allotted for in our remaining scheduled days leading up to the end of the school year. Thank you for your attention to this change!

It's MEET DAY TigerNation!! Best of Luck to our Junior High Track Team as they travel to Cushing today to compete in the Cushing Track Meet. We are praying for lots of sunshine and medals!!

Don't forget this is the FINAL week to purchase your 2022-2023 YEARBOOK for just $30!! Orders will be accepted through the end of the school day on Friday. After Friday, books will be $45. All book orders will close April 28, 2023!!! You may order online at www.balfour.com or purchase in person. Order forms are available with Mrs. Huckabee.

Before Spring Break, our High School Track teams kicked off their seasons in Center at the 2023 Retha Swindell Relays. Our teams had a great showing and we are excited for what the remainder of the season holds. We are also extremely proud of these athletes and coaches working together to use multiple sports to keep themselves prepared all year long for upcoming seasons!! Way to work TIGERS!!

Just a reminder that TISD will host our final FAFSA Night of the school year tomorrow evening, Tuesday, at 6pm in the cafeteria. This is a GRADUATION REQUIREMENT for all seniors. Families will need to have their 2021 tax information with them in order to complete the FAFSA information. A financial aide representative from Panola College will be on hand to assist families in the process. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact TISD Counselor, Stacie Barr.

The Tiger Yearbook Staff took a road trip to Dallas yesterday after the whirlwind that is the first semester of the school year and all the work that encompasses for a yearbook staff!!! This is the first year since COVID that the Balfour plant has allowed in person tours, so the staff was excited to get a first hand view of how our books are printed and put together for the very first time by their yearbook rep, Wendy Dobson. Not only were they able to see the Komori presses at work, along with the individual name stamping and pressing of each book and diploma that will soon be delivered and handed out all across the nation, but they also found a really cool "college wall" that they just had to stop and take photos in front of before leaving. They left with some great ideas to incorporate into their current book, along with new knowledge and appreciation for what our production team does behind the scenes to get our books pieced together each year as we work on them here in Tenaha. They were then treated to lunch by Balfour before heading back home. A huge shout out to one of TISD's newest certified CDL/bus drivers, Mrs. Colette DePriest for doing an AMAZING job getting us to and from Dallas on the charter!! Driving all those horse trailers definitely paid off:) If you see a yearbook staff member, please tell them what a great job they do. These students are at every event. They work incredibly hard and do so without any recognition or awards. They love being a part of the school culture and creating something that students and the community will have for many years to remember and cherish. Great job Tiger Staff...keep making a difference!
