Happy FRIDAY TIGERNATION!! It's a great day at Tenaha ISD and we want to give a few shout-outs to these AWESOME TIGERS who have gone ABOVE and BEYOND to put meaning behind Tiger PRIDE! These are our High School/Middle School Positive Office Referral recipients for the week: Zarkeist Williams - Mrs. Goodson said Zarkeist completed EVERY assignment in her class for the 1st 6 weeks AND maintained an "A" average!! He is always on time and ready to work when the bell rings. His smile and respect for Mrs. Goodson exceeds her expectations! She is SUPER PROUD of him...and so ARE WE!!! Great job, Zarkeist! JJ White, CJ Suell and Zack Farrow: Mrs. Lundy says that these gentlemen helped her stock the drink cooler in the concession stand making things run so much more smoothly! She says their willingness to help out when they could have all gone home is MORE than appreciated and we are thankful for their generosity and kindness! Great job GUYS!! We are so proud of you and thank you for your help and positive example!

The pep-rally will be at 3pm and the community is invited to attend; please be prepared for a security screening upon entering the school. All guests must enter through the High School Main Office. TIGERNATION!! What week is IT??!! It's HOME GAME week for our TIGERS!! Please read over the information below carefully for all you need to know about this week's games. *FRIDAY PEP-RALLY: The "Warning: Tigers are at WORK" construction-themed pep rally will be Friday at 3pm. The Pep-Rally is open to the public; however, all guests must enter through the HIGH SCHOOL MAIN OFFICE. Guests will be subject to a security screening upon arrival; please be aware and prepared by arriving a few minutes early. ELEMENTARY PARENT PICK-UP WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL THE CONCLUSION OF THE PEP-RALLY at 3:30 PM!! If you attend the pep-rally, teachers will have sign-out sheets in order for you to take your student from the pep-rally once it concludes. The gate to the elementary will be closed at 3pm and will not re-open until 3:30 PM at the conclusion of the pep-rally. If you need to enter the school prior to 3:30 PM, you MUST enter through the HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE. *FRIDAY - Kick-off is 7:00 PM in The Pit! Gates will open at 5:30 PM. Security screenings will take place as you enter the stadium; so please be prepared when arriving and we appreciate your cooperation. Allen Hall with Texas Political Subdivisions JSIF (TPS) which is the schools' insurance carrier, presented the school a check for $5,849 to purchase three new AEDs and a complete up-to-date "smart" CPR training kit that includes two adult dummies, two infant dummies and a training AED. This is a great addition to our school and useful in the nursing program as well! Thank you so much for your support and generosity!

TIGERNATION!! Due to the rain we received today, we will NOW PLAY THE JH FOOTBALL GAME scheduled for tomorrow afternoon IN ARP beginning at 5pm. Please share!!!

Our PAWS leaders have been busy opening car doors and helping with announcements. We also wanted to check in on all our brand new Tigers in kinder through 6th grade and give them a small welcome bag. Each day different PAWS members will have lunch on the stage and get to know our new kiddos.

We REMEMBER...on behalf of Tenaha ISD we remember those who sacrificed their lives to protect others, the families who were been left behind to pick up those pieces, and the strength, courage and patriotism that flooded our nation in the days after. As we prepare for GAMEDAY TigerNation, just a few reminders for you this evening: Please be prepared for a security screening before being allowed to enter Tiger Stadium; we appreciate your cooperation as we ensure a safe evening for everyone in attendance. Also, please refer to the map attached for parking information. Lot 2 (High School parking lot) is $5; Lot 1 (Tiger Gym parking lot) is $3. Please see the location for free parking. We have taped off areas where parking is NOT PERMITTED. Please adhere to these markings to keep our grounds in the best shape possible. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students. The gates and parking lots will open at 5:30. Cash and Cards will be accepted tonight for admission and concessions. If you aren't able to make it tonight, NEVER FEAR, you can watch the game live tonight on the NFHS network; a streaming link was shared earlier this week. We love our elementary teachers getting into the Big Kahuna spirit! Their students are doing a fantastic job selling items for our fundraiser. They have one more week left to sell items either online or in person. All money and order forms are due Thursday, September 14th.

Tenaha Elementary Students are doing an awesome job selling items for the Big Kahuna Fundraiser. Each day, we draw two tickets from all of the sold items, and today, Mrs. Woodfin and Ms. GG were the lucky winners! They get to wear the Big Kahuna chain for the day. We still have over a week left of our fundraiser; remember, you can post it online, so friends and family from out of town can buy items and have it shipped straight to their home!

Let's Hear It for the TIGER XC Team as they head to Nacogdoches this morning for the SFASU Lumberjack Invitational meet!! These athletes have been working hard and pushing through the heat and elements and improving each week; BEST OF LUCK TODAY TIGERS!!

We are heading off to a 3-day weekend on a "positive" note! After this week, Mrs. Ward will begin calling all Positive Office Referrals out on Fridays of each week. We hope you all enjoy your Labor Day !
