Some aren't so "new", but are returning after having been gone for a few years, others have taken on new roles and others we are welcoming to the Tiger family for the first time. Our first introduction was made at the end of last year, but we would like to reintroduce Coach Dee Lewis. He is our Athletic Coordinator alongside Athletic Director, Coach Terry Ward. We are so excited to have Coach Lewis and his family in Tenaha and have really enjoyed getting to know them this summer. We look forward to all of the great things Coach Lewis has in store for our students this year!
The next lady needs no introduction, Coach Laura Walker-Holmes. We are ecstatic to welcome Coach Holmes back to Tenaha, along with her children. We look forward to watching her lead the girls basketball team on another exciting journey this season along with assisting with other administrative roles throughout the school year. Our next new Tiger isn't exactly new new. But, she's pushed and worked so hard to complete her degree and will now lead our 4/5/6 grade Tigers in the Science and Social Studies areas. Please join me in congratulating Miss Gigi and telling her how PROUD we are of this huge accomplishment!! 🐅

New Student Registration for Tenaha ISD will begin Monday, July 24th in the High School office from 8am until 3pm each day. The first day of classes will be August 8th.
The first day of Tiger Instruction will begin on August 8th; however, over the next couple of weeks, we will begin sharing more details about first day procedures and reminders, along with other dates that are quickly approaching. School supply lists have been available on the school website under the quick tabs on the home screen as well. Enjoy the last few days of summer Tigers!!

The power outage has been resolved and all activities will resume tomorrow, Wednesday June 21st.
ALL ACTIVITIES including Summer Workouts have been cancelled for Tuesday, June 20th due to a SWEPCO power outage. We will update on a day by day basis regarding activities for the remainder of the week.
Tenaha ISD is once again partnering with the USDA and TDA to serve our Tigers throughout the summer with the Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast will be served daily from 7:30am-8:30am and Lunch from 11:30am -12:30pm Monday-Thursday, June 1-30, 2023. This is for students 18 years of age and younger, free of charge.
Tenaha ISD is pleased to welcome Mr. Marlon Byrdsong as the next principal of Tenaha High School. Mr. Byrdsong joins us from Beckville ISD where he served this past school year as the Beckville High School principal. Mr. Byrdsong has an extensive background in the education field with nearly 20 years of experience in many different roles. He has served in administrative roles previously at Liberty Eylau, as well as being very involved with their football program. He has been instrumental in creating many youth leadership programs in various communities where he strives to reach our youth through mentorship endeavors. He is also a Deacon at Twin City Church and is the current Church Secretary. He has also been honored with the Church Leadership award as well. We are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Byrdsong aboard, along with his beautiful children and wife. In addition to his administrative role, Mr. Byrdsong will also assist Coach Ward with our Tiger Football team this coming season! Welcome to TIGERLAND Byrdsong Family!
