Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tammy Hamilton
Hi my name is Tammy Hamilon I teach Special Education grades 5th - 12th. I graduated HS in 1984 from Logansport HS then attended Panola College and Stephen F Austin University. I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science. After many years of ignoring my calling of becoming an educator I began working in Special Education in 2005 and then became certified to teach in 2012. I was honored with being selected as Middle School Teacher of the Year here at Tenaha in 2019! What an humbling honor. I am married to Jimmy Hamilton and we live in Joaquin on our farm where we raise Angus cattle. I have two grown children, Cody and Colby Hamilton. My oldest son, Cody and his wife Cassidy live in Joaquin and run their own business, Hamilton Equine Dentistry. My younger son, Colby is a student at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where he plays football for The Cru! Our family has many hobbies like traveling, watching all sports, hunting, fishing, raising Corgi's and team roping. I love all ages of children, but my favorite level to teach is Middle School. I feel they are at the most impressionable age to learn. They are absorbing everything placed in front of them and they need to be guided in the most positive direction. I am excited and looking forward to serving the students in Tenaha. My email address if email@example.com.
